Wellbeing is Success

About Rosie’s Library, LLC

Dr. Marie-Michelle Rosemond, affectionately known as “Rosie,” was destined for a life of teaching and leadership. Her journey began at the age of eight when she co-taught English as a Second Language alongside her father at a local church. Rosie’s parents sought a better life outside the inner city of Brooklyn, New York, relocating their family to a rural town in Florida, where her passion for education continued to grow.

After graduating from the University of Florida, Rosie embarked on her career in Middle School special education in Sarasota, Florida. Seeking balance and growth, she moved to Atlanta, Georgia, where she taught in Clayton County schools by day and honed her ESL teaching skills with adult learners by night. With her classroom management and instructional expertise steadily evolving, Rosie pursued a Master’s degree in Special Education at the University of Maine-Orono, embarking on a journey of both personal and professional development with her young son in tow.

While completing her graduate degree, Rosie gained invaluable experience through roles in residence life, athletics, and disability services, broadening her expertise in both K-12 and higher education. She went on to serve as a lecturer and staff member at Kent State University and the University of Michigan, further solidifying her dedication to education. In 2015, Rosie earned her PhD in Educational Leadership, gaining deep insights into the interconnected worlds of K-12 and higher education.

Dr. Rosie transitioned seamlessly into administrative and executive roles, bringing her breadth of experience to initiatives like TRIO programs, Summer Enrichment programs, and First-Year Experience programs. Her expertise in managing the transition from high school to college has been widely recognized, and she has shared her research and insights at numerous conferences. A published author of two children’s books and multiple academic articles, Rosie combines her scholarly work with her dedication to student success.

Her most recent role before transitioning into consulting was as the inaugural Vice President for Student Engagement and Success, Special Assistant for Strategic Planning, and Assistant Professor of Management at Georgia Gwinnett College. Following her tenure in the C-suite, Rosie was embraced by the K-12 community in Jackson County, reigniting her hands-on work with today’s students, teachers, and families.

Through Rosie’s Library, LLC, Dr. Rosemond continues to serve as a champion for wellbeing, literacy, and holistic success.
