About Rosie’s Library, LLC
Dr. Marie-Michelle "Rosie" Rosemond is a dedicated educator, professor, and consultant whose teaching journey began at the young age of 8, co-teaching English as a Second Language with her father in Brooklyn, New York. After graduating from the University of Florida, she specialized in Middle School special education in Sarasota, Florida. Seeking balance in her twenties, Rosie moved to Atlanta, Georgia, where she taught in Clayton County and worked as an ESL instructor for adults. Her passion for education led her to pursue a Master's degree in Special Education at the University of Maine-Orono, where she also gained experience in higher education through graduate assistantships in residence life, athletics, and disability services.
Her career in higher education flourished, with roles as staff and lecturer at Kent State University and the University of Michigan. In 2015, she earned her PhD in Educational Leadership, giving her a comprehensive understanding of both K-12 and higher education systems. With this knowledge, Rosie has excelled in managing TRIO programs, Summer Enrichment initiatives, and First Year experiences, focusing on the critical transition from high school to college.
Rosie’s accomplishments include presenting at national conferences, publishing academic articles, and authoring two children's books. She recently served as the inaugural Vice President for Student Engagement and Success and Special Assistant for Strategic Planning at Georgia Gwinnett College, where she was also an Assistant Professor of Management.
In Spring 2024, Rosie returned to the classroom in Jackson County, exploring teaching across all grade levels before finding her way back to middle school. While she enjoyed her time in high school and the early grades, her deepest impact has always been at the middle school level. It was a rewarding experience to reconnect with a new generation of learners, while also collaborating with fresh faces in teaching and administration. This journey gave Rosie invaluable insight into the evolving dynamics of education today.
Today, Rosie leads Rosie's Library, LLC, a platform dedicated to promoting wellbeing, literacy, and success. Through her consulting work, she guides school leaders, parents, and new teachers in creating balanced educational environments, ensuring that the next generation of educators thrives. Her holistic approach continues to inspire and empower school leaders, parents, and new teachers to reach their full potential.
Dr. Rosie also shares weekly inspirational content through her "Outside the C-suite" YouTube Channel and TikTok, providing insights on leadership, wellness, and personal growth.
